Biografía:
Sacalapa Talaaja is an artist persona working across photography, illustration, and sculpture.
Raised between Caracas, Panama City, and Madrid, Talaaja’s work bends perception by breaking apart and reassembling images as a way of questioning how politics, faith, and desire hold together.
These forces blur and contradict each other as they are shaped by the friction of the overlapping worldviews Talaaja experiences.
He studied at the International School of Panama and is currently pursuing a BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London, where his work favors visceral interpretation over linear narratives.
